General Terms of Business for Dreamland Cargo

The following Terms of Business are valid for all business relations between our customers and Dreamland Cargo.  Amendments to these terms are only considered upon notification from the customer and must be mutually agreed upon in writing by both parties.  Confirmation of an order with Dreamland Cargo is considered as acceptance of the following Terms of Business.

1.  Payment:


                1.1 Payments are due in full at the time of order placement, for all in-stock items.

    1. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for special order and out-of-stock items.  Once the special order or out-of-stock item has arrived to our warehouse the customer will be notified of arrival.  At this time the outstanding balance of the order is due.
    2. Payment methods; Cash, Pay Pal and Cheques..

2.  Order Lead Time:


                2.1 The timeframe for arrival of special order or out-of-stock items is only estimation.  Each item is handmade and we will not compromise the quality of your piece in any way.  These items are shipped via ocean freight into the US, unforeseen delays may occur that are beyond our control.  This is a necessary process and we endeavor to minimize any delays to the best of our ability.

                2.2 Any delay in a special or out-of-stock order does not give the right to cancel the order.  Full payment will still be applicable.  We appreciate the importance of timing and will keep you updated on the status of your order.

3.  Shipping:


                3.1 All deliveries are made to the address provided at the time of purchase.  Any changes in the address details must be received in writing 48 hours prior to the notified departure date of the products from our warehouse.  Changes are only valid upon confirmation by a Dreamland Cargo staff and in the event that a new shipment date is required you will be advised accordingly.  If for any reason the address change notification is not received, the customer is liable for all costs incurred.

                3.2 Dreamland Cargo utilizes a third party distributor for all of our shipping needs.  All charges are directly passed onto the customer with no additional mark up.  It is at the customers’s discretion to choose their own Carrier for the delivery.

                3.3 We guarantee that all items are in good condition before leaving our premises.  Dreamland Cargo is not liable for any damages that occurred once the product is in the hands of the chosen Carrier.  We encourage our customers to survey the items immediately upon receipt of the delivery and report any damages to both the Carrier and Dreamland Cargo.  Dependent on the agreement between the customer and the Carrier, in most cases the Carrier is responsible for any damages. 

4.  Quality:


                4.1 All of our teak is mature and of the highest quality, under normal wear and tear it will not crack or warp. However please keep in mind that teak is a natural product and changes in temperatures and humidity can cause it to expand or contract. It is pertinent that the pieces you bring into your inventory be cared for. The team at Dreamland Cargo is happy to supply you with tips on how to best treat teak.

                4.2 All of our products are handcrafted; size specification or finishing may vary.
